How frequently do we meet: weekly, every other week? And for how long each session?

Monthly or bi-weekly meetings are preferable because they give time to read the material in a leisurely way. Plan on 2-3 hours for each session.

How many sessions should a group plan to meet?

A good starting point would be six to eight sessions. If the group is going well, you may agree to another set of six or eight meetings.

How much time will I need to prepare for the group? How much reading is required?

Typically the leader selects one article or two short pieces for each meeting. The amount of time spent reading this material will depend on how deeply you want to sink into it and whether you choose to keep a journal of your responses. It would be counterproductive to read the material quickly the day before the meeting.

How many people should be in a group?

Eight is probably the minimum and twelve the maximum for a single leader.

Is this a drop-in group or should the same participants stay in the group through the sessions?

Because of the depth of sharing that develops over time, these are not drop-in groups. Indeed, participants should covenant to make the group a high priority on their calendars.
